Plating finish of Bocal can select any of gold, silver, nickel. Additionally, the type that
doesn't put the plating (Non-plating) to achieve a special effect of tone quality and the
type that adjusts the thickness of the plating can be selected. However, when the thickness
of the plating is decreased too much, it causes corrosion.

４）　Pitch remodeling of bocal

Because the formation of Bassoon-pitch works out with bocal, musical instruments, and reed,
whole pitch cannot be easily changed. However, if the total length of bocal is limited, it is possible
to improve it. When it is 440hz length of standard bocal, worth, pitch can be changed up and down
based on the length. However, a big remodeling is necessary to extend the length of bocal.

３）Tone quality and intonation (tone region) improvements of bocals

KBW makes use of the design technique of bocal, and eases ringing and the pronunciation of
the upper register and the low register. Moreover, the easing treatment is done by a technology
similar as for the breath feeling (sense of resistance) and the entire ringing. Because a sense
evaluation becomes a standard (value judgment) when the improvement result of the sound is
evaluated, the trouble might be caused by a slight difference of the sense. To prevent such a
trouble, KBW will do enough meeting with the customer.

２）Remodeling of Bocal bend shape

The load hangs in the arm and the body when the bend shape of Bocal is not suitable for
the performance form. And, various adverse effects are caused. However, if the bend shape
of Bocal is changed, these can be reduced. However, the changed tune is and there is a limit
in the change because there is fear that the weld splits when shape is large.

●Bend shape a is a basic type. It is also possible to
change bend shape a to shape like bend shape b.
(b is called English-Bend or Flachbiegung. )Moreover,
it is also possible to change the θ angle based on the
shape of a basic type and to ease the performance form.

５）　Dent of bocal pipe, crack in weld, and repair of twist etc.

The sound of Bocal is influenced from minute damage. Even if shape can be mended therefore
when damage is violent because it is Bocal with a delicate inside diameter, a complete restoration
of the sound becomes difficult. Please acknowledge repairing according to the state though the
principle and the repair will be received.
